I have these and I would never ever go back to buying disposable ones.
They are so soft and comfortable and my DH calls them my 'princess pads' because I said once they made me feel like a princess. I said that because I wasn't walking around feeling self conscious in case they leaked (they're very absorbent) and they didn't irritate me like throw away ones do.
They fit round your pants and have a press stud to clip together at the other side so they go right round your pants, preventing leaks. The same popper is used to fold it into a neat little purse shape, so they're okay to take out.
I carry them loose in my bag like that, but put them in a make up bag or small plastic bag when used, but buttoned up, the clean part is on the outside so they're very discreet.
They go straight in the wash and come out fine at 40 degrees. I used to put them in with the nappies but now put them in with the bath towels and bedding. (I wouldn't put them in with anything else but that's a personal preference. I'm sure most women reading this have put soiled sheets, underwear etc in with the normal washing.)
It does make me laugh that people are so offended by this. It's as if humanity never ever managed without companies telling us what we 'need' andn selling us items they call 'disposable' but what they mean is you have to throw them away after use.
